Print-on-Demand Margin Calculator
Work out what you actually earn on a print-on-demand product. Add the blank garment cost, the print or fulfillment fee and shipping, and compare the total to your retail price.
Who it's for: POD sellers on Etsy, Shopify or their own site who use Printful, Printify or a local printer and want to set prices that leave room for fees and ads.
How to use it
- Enter the base garment or blank cost from your provider.
- Enter the print or fulfillment fee.
- Enter the shipping rate you pay.
- Enter your retail price and read profit per item and gross margin.
Assumptions
Total cost = blank + print fee + shipping. Profit = retail price − total cost. Gross margin = profit ÷ retail price. All defaults are example numbers to edit. Marketplace fees, payment processing, ads and taxes are not included; use the Etsy Fee Calculator for those.
