How to use the Store Launch Checklist before you go live

The Store Launch Checklist is a new ecommerce store setup planner. It comes as a printable PDF and a Google Sheets tracker, with Notion and Excel versions too. This post shows a simple way to use it so nothing important gets skipped before launch.

1. Pick the format you will actually use

The checklist ships in several formats. Use the printable PDF if you like ticking boxes on paper. Use the Google Sheets tracker (or the Excel or Notion version) if you want to track progress on screen or share it with a helper. Make your own copy first so the original stays clean.

2. Read the Quick Start guide

Every product includes a short Quick Start PDF. Read it before you begin so you know how the files are laid out and where to start.

3. Work through it section by section

Go through the list in order, and only mark an item done once you have checked it on your live store, not just in your head. If something does not apply to your store, note that instead of deleting it, so you remember you made a decision.

4. Do a final pass right before launch

Settings and pages change while you build. Do one last run through the list just before you open the doors, ideally on your phone as well as your computer, the way a customer would see the store.

5. Keep it for next time

Save your filled-in copy. It is a useful record of what you set up, and a head start when you launch a new product or a second store.

The checklist is an editable starting point, not legal, tax or financial advice. Check your platform's own documentation for current settings.
